July Pack Event - Rock Wall Climbing

The little boys and big boys (Scouts and Dads) enjoyed the rock wall
climbing event that was organized for our Pack. Justin and Dillyn
both had a good time and a positive experience for their first time
climbing a rock wall. David and I couldn't stand not giving it a try,
as well. We also met Matt, who is going to be joining our Den, and
Debbie happened to shoot a picture of him going up the wall. The
August Pack event will be a swimming party on August 29th.

Pack Fishing Tournament

Here are pictures from our Pack Fishing Tournament. All the boys had
a great time and were catching brim right and left. We also had
someone catch a snake which added to the excitement. All of the boys
that were there for the awards ceremony received an award for some
aspect of their fishing expertise.

Summer Camp - Friday

Debbie was only at the camp early on Friday morning and then late in
the afternoon so we have fewer pictures to post for today's
activities. The three of us attended the closing ceremonies and
watched the other Den's perform their skits and sing their songs.
Summer Camp 2009 is over.

Summer Camp - Thursday

Fun in the hot, hot sun. Each day starts with the presentation of the
colors. We did sand art and paint bubbles, flag football, baseball, a
water bucket race, shot BB guns, and went swimming. We made ice cream
for a treat.

Summer Day Camp - Wednesday

Another fun-filled day at Camp Echockotee! The boys had fun making
"slime" and playing wth it. They also played soccer and went swimming
and back to the ranges.

Summer Day Camp - Tuesday

Tuesday was a day for physical fitness: swimming, 50-yard dash, long
jump, sit-ups, push-ups, and other activities.

Summer Day Camp - Monday

Monday was the first day of Summer Camp and our boys were on the BB
range, made tie-dye bandanas, played volleyball, and spent time on the
archery range.

Pack Ice Skating

Our boys had the opportunity to try ice skating and to earn their Ice
Skating belt loops.They received some instruction about how to stand
and control themselves and then took to the ice.

Public Service Announcement

Our Den was asked to present the colors at the May Pack meeting and
Axel lead us in the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag and Dillyn
presented the flag. The boys did an excellent job. This Pack meeting
was an Ice Cream Social where Kindergarten boys had been invited to
the meeting for recruiting activity. We had a great magician for
entertainment.

One of the electives for a Tiger Track bead is to perform a Public
Service Announcement encouraging other boys to become Tiger Cubs at a
Pack meeting. To meet the requirements for this award, we made a
poster with pictures from the various activities we've participated in
this year (most of them, if not all, are displayed on this site) and
then performed a skit where each boy described their favorite thing
about being a Tiger Cub.

After the skit, the boys received their awards for the month and
received an "Air Guitar" cheer from the whole Pack.

May Go See It - Den Picnic

For our May "Go See It", we went back to the park for a picnic, a
baseball game, and cleaning up the area. We had a "Clean-Up Treasure
Hunt" where we went on the hiking trails and picked up any trash that
we found. We also played a game of baseball and the boys earned the
Baseball Belt Loop for their efforts. We satisfied the requirements
for a number of the Tiger Track Bead electives and most of the boys
received their beads at the Pack meeting.
